Today, our choice of outstanding sci-fi is H.A. Burns’s “Cyborg Dreams” (https://t.co/1P0qqIrlHb). Dreams is an independently minded and independently authored amazing title, and so if we’re going to get through all amazing titles in all the niches of science fiction, we’re sure this one belongs on our lists. Here we discover a plot that is surely unique in its approach. If we assume you share our enthusiasm for a good book, you’ve got to have a quick look at how readers reacted. In the words of an obviously enthused reader, “Once again, H.A. Burns does a great job with character development and relationships. She has a habit of creating religious conflicts, or at least makes a point to highlight religious differences, between characters, which I find interesting. Yet, she manages to treat all the diverse viewpoints with respect and validity. The use of ‘sci-fi’ technology is easy to grasp and plausible. Much of which, I think, we are not all that far off of in the real world. This time, the implications of technology are central to the theme of the book and play a major role in the ethical conflicts. You’ll find yourself pondering this and more in our own world. It could work as a Black Mirror episode.” Having checked out our review, you might as well go that tiny step further and search for a copy of the book yourself. If not, stay tuned until we discover the next epic science fiction author of the generation. Like you, we hope it’ll be well worth the wait.
