On this day our choice is Sarah Katz’s “Apex Five” (https://t.co/9GCax0e9T1). Apex Five is a rogue creation, an exhilarating science fiction work, so in our never-ending tributes to norm-shattering items in all the domains of sci-fi, we are not going to pass including this one as #1 today. Assuredly, we find a tale we conclude is compellingly effortless in its themes. If we assume you share our enthusiasm for a good book, you’ve got to appreciate how sci-fi readers took it. We took note of the words from a reader, “Ms. Katz did quite an impressive job of world building in Apex Five. The Plane, where the story takes place, is both striking and ominous. The details were vivid and allowed me to imagine what it must be like for the characters to experience their surroundings. The story draws from an ancient era and beliefs but ties in with contemporary times. I found parallels in the book that touched on my own life, politics, the environment, and other social issues. I feel other readers will agree.” Well, now we’re done you might as well go that tiny step further and search for a copy of the book yourself.
